A house sitter can come in many forms - there are those who exclusively
just sit the house and look after it, while there are some who looks
into the deeper functions of being inside the house like watching over
an old person inside in their own home. In comes cultures, it is common
to see old people being left alone in their own houses because teenagers
always look forward in living on their own and try their very best to
live on their own without the help of anyone else.
In addition, they do the household chores, but if the home owner already has a maid or helper hired to do such things, then you are free to focus on your own line of work. Now, this kind of work is being made available by different individuals in any country; doing two jobs all at the same time, and they may have reasons why the home owner left the elderly alone in the house with just a house sitter. A good reason that I could think of that, he or one could be a she, is too frail to do long travel and may waste her time as she might just be sleeping on the trip to somewhere else - it is a natural thing once you grow older. It could get gritty, and their tolerance for activity may be very low. Another reason that popped into my mind is companions who may just want to have a good time for a while, which may be rude on the part of the elderly. This could only happen when the ones left in the house are the ones who work all year round attending to the needs of the individual who is left behind. Poor person, it is bad enough to grow old, worse when you are being left alone because of it, because of your incapability to watch over yourself. It is the sad reality. Third reason is that the children of the elderly are not very good in taking care of someone ahead of their age and they have a house of their own, so they leave them in trust-worthy hands of a house sitter to make sure that one will be able to get the best possible care that anyone can provide. These people could come across as a person who may have a lot of ideas about care giving or a registered nurse, but of course the latter may require a higher pay because you are also paying them for their license, because they too worked very hard in order to get that laminated card. In contrast, others may see this as an opportunity to meet other people aside from the usual people that they see around the house - it could get old very fast. Seeing the same faces, doing the same things over and over again, maybe a professional house sitter can come as a good change of pace in the life of the old lady or gentleman. All in all, people may have different reasons in hiring a house sitter, but one thing is for certain, they do help people in dealing with different circumstances and as long as the reasons are clear cut, then the house sitter can do the job which is asked from them, without fail. |
